WHERE THE VISION BEGAN
THE VISIONARY
“Before there was a Brotherhood, there was a vision.”
In the spring of 2015, Tonya Rankins was called to lead as a military spouse in a new area. At that time, there was not adequate inclusion for military spouses. She sought out like-minded military spouses to share ideals and concepts of fellowship and support one to another.
In the interim, she began to connect with female and male military spouses. After being featured in an issue of Military.com, several more military families began to reach out, sharing how military spouses were excluded from joining Military Greek Letter Organizations.
In January 2017, “Visionary” Tonya Rankins laid the foundation for Alpha Lambda Psi Military Fraternity Incorporated.
Her vision created the pathway for a military fraternity built around inclusion, fellowship, service, professional excellence and the belief that military-connected men could stand together in Brotherhood while strengthening the communities they serve.

In January 2017, “Visionary” Tonya Rankins lays the foundation for Alpha Lambda Psi Military Fraternity Incorporated.

April 6, 2018 — Sumter, SC
Alpha Lambda Psi Military Fraternity, Incorporated is formally founded on April 6, 2018 in Sumter, South Carolina.
